Biography

Ricardo Custódio holds a PhD in Computer Science (1999) from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS) and is a Full Professor at the Department of Informatics and Statistics of the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC), where he coordinates the Computer Security Laboratory (LabSEC).

He works in the areas of information security and cryptography, with emphasis on digital signatures, verifiable credentials, public key infrastructure (PKI) and electronic identity management. His research interests also include cryptographic key management, theory and applications of finite fields, and quantum-resistant cryptography.
